According to the minister, expired actions have been taken against Attila Vidnyánszky, and the board of trustees must bring order to the performing arts.

Gergely Gulyás, Minister in Charge of the Prime Minister’s Office, was invited to the Bayer Show, where he also spoke on the issues surrounding the University of Theater and Cinematic Arts (SZFE).

Gulyás said about the start of the SZFE school year on Monday, he expects teaching to begin. According to him, a special situation has arisen in which students protest against the abolition of state supervision at the university. He also added that this was because the government saw that education could be more effective if universities could operate freely and if they were given complete freedom, and the essence of the new construction was that all this would be based on boards of directors.

Goulash said

That is why we have created university boards, which have been welcomed in most places, which can decide on the rector, the university leaders, the budget.

According to the minister, for years no one has discussed the need to transform the SZFE, not even on the Baliberal side, nor that it is in the common interest.

Regarding the protests, he added: against members of the board of trustees

Of course, this is when personal expiration actions can be launched, this has always been the property of the Baliberal side, they have shown outstanding talent in this field.

He thinks it’s hard to question Attila Vidnyánszky’s honor or professional talent, and the other members of the board of directors are arguably talented and excellent.

Goulash also said that the state does not want to intervene in a demonstration that makes education impossible. “Students can demonstrate safely, and they are lucky that Ferenc Gyurcsány is not the prime minister, because that way nobody will roll their eyes. And those who want to study will sooner or later give the board of directors the opportunity to learn somewhere. “

Regarding the blockade, Gulyas said that they would not restrict anyone’s constitutional right, even if they did not agree with the objectives of the protest.

According to him, three things are needed for education, a place for teachers and students. “Obviously there will be students who have clearly applied to learn” who want to participate in education.

Gergely Gulyás added:

The governing board will resolve, provide space, and elect teachers and leaders. It’s up to the board of directors to figure this out.

On Sunday, thousands of people participated in a live chain demonstration in Budapest against the grinding of the University of Theater and Cinematic Arts, from the university building to the Parliament, handing over the text of the letter demanding institutional autonomy.

SZFE will continue to function as a foundation from September. Attila Vidnyánszky became president of the foundation’s board of trustees, the appointment of which has been protested by various university professors and students for weeks.

The number of independent power editorial boards is steadily declining, and those that still exist are trying to stay afloat in a growing headwind. At HVG we persevere, we don’t give in to pressure and we bring national and international news every day.

That is why we ask you, our readers, to stand by us, support us, join our membership and renew it!

And we promise to keep doing our best for you in all circumstances!

For our series, we asked five writers to write about how they lived last week. We only had one limitation: we give five keywords, they have to appear somewhere in this subjective hindsight. This week, Luis el Grande de Costa had to be inspired by the following words: blockade, explosion, withdrawal, arrival, divorce.
