Coronavirus: the vaccine will cost 3,500 HUF

The president of the pharmaceutical company Sanofi reported today that a vaccine against the coronavirus that will be developed in the near future will cost less than 10 euros per dose.

However, Olivier Bogillot told France Intern radio, quoted by the DPA news agency, that the company had not yet accepted a final price and that the vaccine would be lucky if it were distributed to as many people as possible, writes the Economy World.

Millions, or rather billions, should be vaccinated, Olivier Bogillot said.

Sanofi and GSK have recently announced that they have begun clinical trials of their potential vaccine. The vaccine, developed in collaboration with the company and GSK, contains the same recombinant protein-based composition as one of Sanofi’s seasonal flu antidotes.

A total of 440 healthy adults are enrolled in the study at 11 study sites in the United States. We will have to wait until December to see the first results. And if the results are as expected, you can start the Phase 3 experiment. This will be the last step before official approval. Vaccine experts say that, at best, it could be ready in the first half of next year.
