The new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected in 495 new Hungarian citizens, thus increasing the number of infected people in Hungary to 8,387. The death toll is unchanged at 624 and 3,958 have already recovered.
The number of active infections is 3805, an increase of almost five hundred since yesterday. 43% of the actively infected, 59% of the dead and 42% of those recovered are from Budapest. 151 patients with coronavirus are treated in the hospital, 11 of them with ventilators.
In the past 24 hours, new infections have been found in every county. It is important to note that the map above does not show the number of active cases, because no data is reported, but the number of confirmed cases so far can be read by county.
The number of samples has increased in recent days, but has barely exceeded the 8,000 level. About the same number of tests were also done in the spring, but then the positive test rate was much lower.
