There are no longer any signs of life beneath the ruins, the Chilean rescue team said Thursday, which was supposed to discover signs of life Thursday at the Beirut detonation site a month after the massive explosion.

By Saturday, 95 percent of the building’s ruins had been searched anyway, but no one was found. However, Fernando Lermanta, leader of the Chilean volunteer rescue team, has stated that they will continue the investigation even if there is only one percent hope.
On August 4, 190 people were killed and some 6,000 injured in Beirut as a result of large-scale explosions likely caused by negligence.
