In the 1st round of NB I women’s handball, defending champion ETO Győr achieved an easy 13-goal victory over Kisvárda at home. DVSC left Mosonmagyaróvár in a fierce 31-30 match. Szombathely also led by five goals on the road and finished with one from Dunaújváros. The Boglár Academy-SZISE beat Békéscsaba by 11 goals.

Gábor Danyi: – We played well and with good dynamics during most of the game. First of all, I am satisfied with our defense, in the end our concentration has been exhausted.

Köstner Vilmos: “Maybe no one in the team was afraid of this game except me.” I wrote eight pages about Mosonmagyaróvár and also saw three of his matches in preparation. We didn’t have a good defense and in the second half we didn’t have a goal. In the attack we were not precise enough, we won.
János Gyurka: – Both teams dictated a very high pace at all times. We knew that Debrecen played modern handball and we were prepared for that. In the first part we were indecisive and passive in attack. We managed to fix this for the second half, our defense also improved, we were able to play liberally, mainly because of this our victory.

Kiss Szilárd Jr .: – Many of our players have played their first cutting edge match, I am glad that we were able to play handball in a disciplined and stable way almost all the time. We were preparing for a close match, there is much more of this in the Békéscsaba team, and I am sure it will be seen later, we will stay on earth.
Gergő Life: – The home team deserved the victory, there was no doubt which team was better. In the first half, our defense broke down, we worked better back in the second half, but we lost a lot of ziccert. The Hungarians were better in speed, speed and crowd. Let’s keep moving forward, now there are games where we can do that.
