Bank fraud – Terraza Femina

[ad_1]

MKB Bank warns of a phishing attack carried out by email using much more sophisticated tools than before: scammers use the bank’s name to send an email asking for data reconciliation.

MKB Bank does not request personal and banking data from its customers either by phone or by email, the bank emphasizes in its statement. The content of the letter is grammatically correct, in the appropriate Hungarian language. Therefore, this email, unlike previously grammatically incorrectly featured letters with misspellings, does not immediately arouse suspicion.

Via the link in the phishing email, the scammers now request not only the clients’ netbank access codes, but also their card numbers and contact information: email address, phone number. The phone number in the phishing email cannot be linked to MKB Bank.
