Informationisbeautiful.net has published a spectacular graph, showing that the number of new coronavirus cases in Hungary has risen as much as anywhere else in the world. This data is two days old, and since then, a total of 760 new patients have been found on Thursday and Friday.
The site calculated from data from Johns Hopkins University that the number of coronavirus cases in Hungary increased by 25.2 percent in a week between September 2 and August 26.
This is much higher than the weekly growth rate measured in other countries that the Hungarian data does not fit the chart.
Compared to 25.2 percent, yesterday’s data shows a higher one-week growth rate of 28.7 percent, and today it is 34 percent higher than the previous week.
As of August 26, there were still 5,288 infected people registered in Hungary, and the number of active patients was 940. To date, official statistics have risen to 7,382 infected and 2,817 active patients.
