Following a positive PCR test by an employee of the Kamaraerdei Chamber Home for the Aged, the contact investigation revealed a coronavirus infection in two patients. Both asymptomatic residents were transferred to a hospital, and the contacts were isolated as required until the results of the tests arrived, according to a statement from the Metropolitan Municipality.

One of the employees of the institution last worked in the nursing home in late August, and announced by phone after his last day of work that he was not feeling well, so the head nurse instructed him to stay in home and perform the test at home. Because the PCR test showed a coronavirus infection, the institution immediately conducted a contact examination and ordered an immediate examination of 30 residents and 3 workers. Two patients living in the same room tested positive, were taken to the hospital, and have so far shown no symptoms.

From now on, it is written that the director of the institution, in consultation with the epidemiological authority, ordered the screening of all residents and employees of the affected department, in addition to the contact persons.

There is a ban on visits to nursing homes maintained in the capital, the Metropolitan Municipality has reserved thousands of tests in its own institutions in preparation for the second wave of the epidemic, so far 24 thousand and in the near future there have been others 12 thousand tests.
