A freight train leaving Szolnok struck the man trying to end his life on the rails. The press officer for the Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County Police Headquarters confirmed to the index that the person had committed suicide in front of the train. However, the assembly simply disappeared, thus escaping the accident with minor injuries.

MÁV-START first ordered buses to carry passengers, but the site has since been completed, so train traffic between Szolnok and Szajol could resume on both tracks. Delays of 20 to 50 minutes can gradually decrease on the Budapest – Szolnok – Debrecen – Záhony and Budapest – Újszász – Szolnok – Békéscsaba lines, and scheduled traffic can be restored until the afternoon.
According to Mávinform, due to delays, surcharge trains can be used without replacement or seat ticket for trips started until noon today.
