The German government said tests on the Russian opposition leader revealed the presence of the infamous Soviet-era neurotoxin in his body.
Navalny was transported from Omsk, Siberia, to the Charité Hospital in Berlin with severe symptoms of poisoning after being ill on a plane bound for Moscow.
