The heavily indebted Tennis Association breathes a sigh of relief.

According to a resolution published on Sunday, the Hungarian Tennis Association will receive 2.5 billion guilders from the government’s extraordinary reserve.

The objective is to “stabilize (consolidate) the operational conditions of the organization and support the programs and professional developments that it must implement.” Term: immediately.

The Tennis Federation, which has accumulated a deficit of 3,500 million led by the politician Lajos Szucs Fidesz and a personal request of the Prime Minister at the end of July János Lázár, the deputy of Fidesz, former head of the Prime Minister became president, some days it became financially impossible, because he challenged his claim, the bailiff withdrew almost everything from his accounts. The current government decision will take the organization’s breath away.

The former editorial office of index.hu has essentially ceased to exist, the country has lost its most read online interface. This is one of the most serious blows to the independent Hungarian press and freedom of information to date. The number of independent power editorial boards is steadily declining, and those that still exist are trying to stay afloat in a growing headwind. At HVG, we persevere, not giving in to pressure to bring in national and international news every day.

That is why we ask you, our readers, to support us, support us, join our membership and renew it!

And we promise to keep doing our best for you in all circumstances!
