25 million coronavirus infections have already been recorded

There are already 24,996,456 people infected with the coronavirus epidemic worldwide, with 842,499 deaths and 16,409,757 recovered, according to a Sunday morning summary from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.

Experts say that the number of diagnosed cases does not accurately reflect reality because the number of tests is more or less limited in each country and the registration criteria also vary.

The disease most affects the United States, where so far 5,961,094 people have been infected, 182,761 died and 2,140,614 were cured.

In Brazil, there are 3,846,153 infected, 120,262 deaths and 3,202,185 people recovered.

In India, 3,542,733 people were infected, 63,498 deaths and 2,713,933 people recovered.

In Russia, the number of confirmed infections increased to 982,573, the number of deaths increased to 16,977, and the number of recovered to 802,365.

In South Africa, the authorities are aware of 622,551 infected, 13,981 dead and 536,694 recovered.

In Mexico, 591,712 people were infected with the coronavirus, 63,819 died and 484,283 were cured.

In Spain there were 439,286 infected, 29,011 dead and 150,376 recovered.

In the UK, the number of infected people is 334,916, and 41,585 people die from the disease.

In France, there are 304,947 infected, 30,601 dead and 86,495 recovered.

In Turkey, 267,064 people have been recorded so far, with 6,284 deaths and 242,812 deaths.

In Italy, the number of infected people was 266,853, the number of deaths was 35,473, and 208,224 recovered from Covid-19.

In Germany, 242,835 were infected, 9,299 died and 214,791 recovered.

In Canada, there were 129,639 people infected, 9,161 deaths, and 115,294 people recovered.

In China (excluding Hong Kong and Macao), 89,863 people were recorded, as well as 4,721 deaths and 84,484 recovered.

On March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus a pandemic, which spread from Wuhan in central China.
