Before the final race, Hamilton, Bottas, Ricciardo, Verstappen and Albon were in the top 5 drivers and in the final seconds. The Mercedes world champion was able to improve further and took pole position with a new track record of 1: 41.252 lap time.
Behind him his teammate Bottas, who closed half a second behind, and Verstappen arrived in 3rd position, just 15 milliseconds behind position 2.
The two Red Bulls are separated by Ricciardo in 4th place, who was finally not interrupted by a problem experienced at the beginning of training.
