The renovation of the introductory section of the Cegléd line (100a) from Nyugati to Városliget will be completed on Sunday, Mávinform announced. The scheduling restrictions end at 4 a.m. on Monday, when trains can now run on the renovated tracks.

From May to the end of August, 5.6 kilometers of tracks were rebuilt, many switches were replaced, and telecommunications equipment, security equipment and overhead lines were maintained. The heating systems on duty have also been updated, so the changing tables are expected to no longer freeze in the winter.

However, due to the renovation of the western roof structure, the schedule for the Cegléd and Záhony commuter trains will change from August 31 to December 4.

  • High-speed trains running on the Budapest – Debrecen – Nyíregyháza – Záhony line depart from Zugló and arrive instead of the Nyugati train station. For high-speed trains, you can travel from the west to Zuglo on InterCity and suburban trains. IC and suburban trains can also be used from Zugló to the west.
  • On Sundays, a high-speed train leaving Záhony at 13:03 and 15:03, a Televonat leaving Nyíregyháza at 17:01 and a seven-mile high-speed train leaving Zaja at 14: 34 will arrive at Nyugati train station.
  • From Monday to Friday, an accelerated train that leaves Szolnok at 5:40 goes to Zugló.
  • The high-speed train leaving from Szeged at 4:34 am arrives at Nyugati railway station.
  • An accelerated train leaves Zugló at 17:34 for Szolnok from Monday to Thursday.
