The third free practice of the Belgian Grand Prix started at a temperature of 14 degrees. The positive surprise of the first two free practice sessions was Renault, and the negative surprise was Ferrari, because while Daniel Ricciardo he finished second in FP2 with Renault, while the two Ferraris had to settle for 15th and 17th, respectively.

In FP3, for the first time, the two Haas and Lando Norris set off. The first two laps measured in Friday’s free practice were named in large part for Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean, who sat in the area and did one lap each on a medium tire.

Towards the first quarter of an hour it started to rain, but as not much rain reached the track, everyone could circulate calmly, all the more so because the sun was shining despite the rain. And shortly before training, the strongest circles began to arrive.

With half an hour to go until the third free practice session, Bottas took the lead on the soft rubber, followed by Verstappen and Hamilton, while Pérez was only 8 tenths of a second behind the hard tires. The fifth was Ocon with the mediocre.

More F1 news:

At the time, only Alfa Romeo driver Kimi Räikkönen was left without a measured lap, and the two Ferraris were 12th and 15th, respectively, with the mediocre, and this time Leclerc was ahead of the two drivers in the stable. Red. Of the two who have already completed the lap, the two Haas were behind.

Then Gasly came up with the medium mix in fifth, and Perez reported that it was starting to rain. With the other AlphaTauri, Kvjat complained about the brake and Vettel had to correct it so that it would not come off; the Ferrari still does not seem to find the correct configuration.

At the end of the training, Räikkönen was also on the field, and started with an installation round. This was followed by calmer minutes, the field was quite deserted, but towards the end of training the party began: everyone except Magnussen took to the field.

4 minutes before the end of practice, Ocon took the lead on the soft tires on a lap of 1: 43.485. However, he didn’t stay there long: Lewis Hamilton came in, taking the lead in 1: 43.255, giving the French Renault driver a good 2 tenths of a second, while Bottas slid big in the first sector.

The traffic on the track was huge, so many could not even improve. Ultimately, Lewis Hamilton became fastest ahead of Ocon, Norris and Albon, while Leclerc and Vettel only finished 17th and 20th respectively.

So it may be interesting to have a Belgian Grand Prix time trial in light of the results so far, which will take place from 3pm on the iconic asphalt track at Spa-Francorchamps.

We first saw the launch of an F1 car according to a new Formula 1 protocol: mouth masks are mandatory and, as far as possible, team members must keep their distance from each other. And Mercedes launched an F1 car for the first time in months.
