“There can no longer be an economic obstacle to learning a good profession, since loans for training can be requested from April 2021,” he reported. András Tállai, Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance MTI.

Family support benefits will also apply to new types of schemes: if the second child is born after the loan, the mother only has to pay half of the loan debt and her entire debt is discharged after the third child is born.

The training credit can make life easier for more than 57,000 adults in adult education and about 220,000 students in career education.

Said the Secretary of State.

Tállai spoke about the fact that the future of the Hungarian economy lies in the development of world-class competitive, high-tech and modern production and services, which requires highly qualified professionals, sometimes with the latest professional knowledge.

Lifelong learning is becoming increasingly important due to the changing demands of the job market. It is never too late to change to a good profession ”, explained the Secretary of State. New types of training credits will be available for ages 18-55 for courses longer than three months.

To apply for new training loans, no credit assessment or endorsement will be required, only the professional or adult training relationship must be accredited. The new scholarship system offered by technical schools and vocational schools does not preclude obtaining a loan, and the loan can be applied for with the support of the schools.

The new loan, like the higher education student loan, will have two types: a free use loan and a linked use loan that can be used to pay tuition fees.

Participants in the trainings will be able to apply for a completely free use loan up to a maximum of HUF 150,000 per month. The interest rate is favorable, as is that of the student loan1, which is currently 1.99 percent.

The maximum amount of the fixed-use training loan that can be contracted in vocational training without interest in school vocational training and in training that stands out from the point of view of the national economy will be adjusted to the cost rate, while in other formations will be a maximum of half a million HUF.
