Another relative of a deceased elderly patient accuses the Pest Road nursing home of failing to care for his relative, ultimately leading to his death. The man said his mother even got water. He also told Ripost that the situation at the institution maintained by the Metropolitan Municipality had deteriorated significantly since November. Forty-four people died in the nursing home and more than three hundred became infected as a result of coronavirus infection, Mí Híradó reported.

The National Investigative Office of the Reserve Police has launched an investigation into the case of the Pesti út nursing home in the capital based on a report by an individual. On Tuesday pestisracok.hu was informed of the procedure, which was also confirmed by the police to the Hungarian Telegraph Office. In their statement, they wrote:

An investigation is ongoing into an unknown author due to negligent danger in the course of the profession.

In early April, a severe coronavirus infection was diagnosed in a Pesti út nursing home managed by the Metropolitan Municipality, and hundreds of older people had to be transported to the hospital, 44 of whom had died so far. According to the National Medical Director, there was no doctor at home for at least a week, contrary to the provisions of the regulations.

There is increasing evidence of Christmas responsibility.

Mayor Gergely Karácsony has been apologizing and explaining for weeks, while more and more facts prove that the institution did not accidentally become one of the focal points of the epidemic.

First, another man told M1 that the home had failed to meet basic hygiene conditions since November, and that despite trying to request information about his sick mother, they were unable to speak to the doctor full time.

Another relative, whose husband had to be rushed to the hospital from the Pesti út nursing home, reported conditions similar to Ripost on Tuesday because he had symptoms of dehydration. The widow only called the institution a “factory of death.” According to him, inadequate care led to the loss of her husband.

In his Wednesday morning article, Ripost reported another case of Pesti út. In it, a man declares that

Her 68-year-old mother died of not receiving adequate care and received little water.

He also claims that the situation has deteriorated significantly since November, despite the fact that they tried to speak to any doctor in the nursing home.

Christmas still not responsible

Gergely Karácsony tries to establish it as if he and the capital were punished, but the political responsibility still lies with the Mayor’s Office in the case of the Pest út nursing home – said Kossuth Rádió Good morning, Hungary! Krisztián Rezső Erdélyi, analyst at the Perspective Institute.

“The political responsibility as a maintainer lies with the Mayor’s Office, and we can try in any way to avoid or spread this responsibility, pointing to any other person, but the quality of care provided there is clearly the responsibility of the maintainer and of our case, the mayor’s office “ – declared Krisztián Rezső Erdélyi.

Meanwhile, Gergely Karácsony again sent a message to the government and the people of the capital. On his community page, he brushes 15 pages at Budapest Restart on how to reopen the capital after the coronavirus epidemic. In this, he generally blames the capital’s government office for the spread of the infection and demands the appointment of those responsible. However, he does not say a word about the Pesti út nursing home and his own responsibility.
