The education working group can only make proposals, the decision is up to the government, Péter Horváth told InfoRádió according to the portal report. The expert said that the LAG had a serious discussion about

Does it make sense to restart school education in June and, if so, in which areas of the country, in what grades?

In his opinion, this would be possible in the first four grades, but obligatory is seen as a delicate subject, since there are certainly parents who are more afraid to let their children return to the desk. However, parallel, that is, simultaneous, digital and local education would not be compatible in any way, since there are not a sufficient number of workers for this.

According to the portal report, the president of the National Pedagogical Faculty noted that many solutions have also been found abroad, since traditional education has not returned to 100% in most countries. In any case, the Educational Action Group supports the idea that if there is someone in it, students from first to fourth could return, especially in settlements with lower levels of infection. Also that

Municipalities and schools should be able to decide what they support and what they do not support.

According to experts, the length of the school year should not be changed, that is, it could end on June 15, so that the next one can start on September 1, which has already become the norm. Péter Horváth added that due to the fact that parental leave has changed a lot compared to previous years in an emergency situation, with strict epidemic measures, adjusted to needs.

More serious school supervision, daycare and possibly theme camps may be required during the summer months.

Their basic suggestion for corrective and qualifying exams is that, if they can be judged, they should be done online according to the digital work schedule. But if necessary, it must be ensured, taking into account known safety standards, so that children can also fulfill their examination obligations with a personal appearance, the expert added.
