Once again, a “bagpipe demonstration” was held in Clark Ádám Square with the participation of Ákos Hadházy, an independent member of parliament. According to our colleague on the scene, after previous police fines, event participants have now tried to make noise in other ways, screaming, whistling, blowing vuvuzela, playing music instead of humming.

Several people were punished at the bagpipe demonstration

However, this did not prevent police action either. As on previous occasions, the police have made a series of reports. This time, however, according to our colleague, not only because of the buzz or because someone was standing on the road, but also because those present were violating the emergency rules that restrict the meeting. This was disputed by several of the protesters. Bernadett MEP, an independent deputy, said the police started by saying that “the government does not like this event.”

This was the fourth similar event, the first demonstration was organized by Hadházy on April 20, the objective of the demonstration was to protest 60% of the release of the hospital bed ordered by the Minister of Human Resources Miklós Kásler. He chose the Ádám Clark plaza so that Viktor Orbán could listen to the bagpipes in the Castle.

After the second demonstration on April 27, protesters, including Bernadette Wind, were punished by the police for “emitting an unreasonable beep.”
