The socialist Bertalan Tóth waits in vain for an answer.

coronavirus pandemic

The number of people infected with the coronavirus in the world already exceeds three million, more than two hundred thousand have lost their lives to the disease and the economic impact of the epidemic is invaluable. We try to inform our readers about everything, stay tuned, read our series of articles.

For three weeks, he has been waiting for operating personnel or hospitals to answer questions from MSZP President Bertalan Tóth, which would reveal exactly how many patients were sent home from hospitals due to emergency measures. According to Tóth, he did not ask complicated questions, in addition to the number of returnees, he wanted to know how many active beds there were in the institution, if the returnees had a coronavirus test, if they had notified the municipality of residence and how many surgeries had been postponed.

According to Tóth, hospitals provide information about this to operating personnel in daily reports, and the government promised in late April that it would receive answers to their questions, but this has not happened since then. If Bertalan Tóth requested them as a request for data of public interest, it could easily have to wait months, as the government postponed the deadline to respond from 3 to 6 months a week if complying with the request would hinder the fight against the epidemic.

Although the government is communicating, it was not really necessary to send many people home from hospitals, as 58 percent of the beds were already empty (50 and 60 percent expected free capacity), but It turned out that Minister Miklós Kásler did not cite this year’s data, but rather data from last year. when there was less in the hospital.
