An indicator has decreased which should not, in principle, decrease. It used to be that after a day or two the error was fixed, if someone was not registered in their own county, this time they had to wait much longer.

coronavirus pandemic

The number of people infected with the coronavirus in the world already exceeds three million, more than two hundred thousand have lost their lives to the disease and the economic impact of the epidemic is invaluable. We try to inform our readers about everything, stay tuned, read our series of articles.

Contradictory numbers are published on the official epidemiological information website. At koronavirus.gov.hu, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases is published daily by county. These data show how many people have been diagnosed with the infection since the start of the epidemic, regardless of whether the person is still infected, has recovered, or has just died. It is logical that this indicator does not decrease in any way,

by comparison, the lowest figures for Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén and Heves counties were also released on Saturdays and Sundays than on Fridays and the days before.

It can also be seen on the Facebook page reporting on the epidemic: On Friday, the official number of cases in these two counties was 65 and 17, respectively. In Heves County, 17 people have been reported every day since April 28, and in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, the indicator has been at 65 since May 2, according to the map.

By Saturday, some people had disappeared from the statistics, and that remained the same on Sunday.

We forwarded our question to today’s operating staff press conference, as they explain the decrease in numbers, we didn’t get an answer, they didn’t even read the question.

In April, the Portfolio asked Central Office what was the reason for the previous similar declines, and they received a completely meaningless response: “The decrease in county data is due to the deduction of recovered cases.” It is impossible that this is the case, all confirmed cases include those that have already been cured, so when asked again, they already got the answer: “There is no reduction in the number of infected people who have been cured.”

One of his readers also asked BM and got a completely different answer, one that is believed to be the solution.

It may be the case that a social or health care institution does not provide the permanent address of the infected person when providing the data, so according to the protocol, the infected person is registered at the address of the institution until that moment. When the permanent residence of the infected person is clarified, the notification of the infected person becomes final.

The G7 writes that previously these errors were corrected in a day or two, but now the number of infected people has decreased in two counties mentioned in our article, where there has been no increase for at least a week. So in principle, after 11 days, someone might discover that they live in an institution in a county other than where they have their permanent address.
