On his Instagram, more precisely in his Instagram story, which is available until 24 hours, Tímea Vajna announced that Mr. Funk, a donor who opened on Arany János Street in Budapest, is closing his interest.

The ad reads as follows:

Dear guests, fans of Mr. Funk! Sorry, but Mr. Funk did not survive the coronavirus and we had to close stores. My heart breaks because many of my enthusiastic and hardworking donut workers are losing their jobs this way, but we were no longer able to keep the business alive.

We offered children’s furniture, jams, chocolates and other food and toiletries to the Heim Pál Children’s Hospital and brought 300 donuts to the children.

Originally named Mr. Funk and Mrs. Bagel, it opened in October 2016 at number 19 Arany János, at the opening of which MSZP members also protested the venue, one of the owners being the wife of film commissioner Andy Vajna, Tímea Vajna, who has since passed away. The company merged two years later with The Donut Factory, which operates multiple stores.
