Speaking to the propaganda portal, Béla Merkely said that she could already see the light at the end of the tunnel and the inability of the hospital directors to have sent someone to death due to the emptying of the beds.

Professor Béla Merkely, a cardiac surgeon and president of Semmelweis University, told the portal supporting the government that it was called Boys of Pest. The expert believed that politicians should be prepared for the worst, and health workers have a duty to take reasonable steps in making their decisions.

According to him, a military exercise has been carried out in recent days, which has been fundamentally successful. Speaking of his own clinic, he said that only those who were sure not to have an aggravating effect were sent home, yet were able to free the required fifty percent of the beds.

With regard to the epidemic, the professor hopes that the number of cases will no longer increase dramatically and that the restrictions that he believes have proven their worth can be slowly eased. He stated all this based on data from the clinical analysis group he led.

At the same time, he spoke on behalf of Péter Cserháti, the Managed Director of the National Institute of Medical Rehabilitation, whom he called a very good specialist. That is why he commissioned this week to develop complex rehabilitation at Semmelweis University.
