Esport 1 – All esports in one place! “Dear Capcom, you couldn’t take that seriously either!”

Resistance is as far away from the concept of a good Resident Evil game as possible.

You read our test of Capcom’s latest savior, Resident Evil 3 Remaker, yesterday, but what about the multit? Than? Multiplayer in a Resident Evil game? Sure, though, we’re not talking about a simple multiplayer mode here, but a game with a separate title, included with RE3.

Resident Evil: The resistance is completely independent, but if you want to buy it, you will not find it anywhere. We need to invest in a restored version of the series, along with getting the Resistance “free”. It’s free, as the Resident Evil 3 can be bagged for a basic price of 60 euros. But the truth is that only RE3 would be a little for that money, and Resistancera would have been robbed of a price of € 10.

We are talking about an asymmetric 4v1 game in which you control a member of a group of four survivors or a “main enemy” called Mastermind. On the survivors side, you can choose from 6 average characters never seen before, while if you play as Mastermind and work to prevent any of the survivors from reaching the end of the course, we have four famous RE villains at our disposal.

Each character has unique abilities, both active and passive, and we can develop them and unlock new ones. On the survivors side, team play and accurate communication are extremely important, because this is the only way to solve the challenges we face, and only in this way can we complete the given course, where, in addition to our opponents, the time also pressures us. At least at first, but we’ll talk about that a little later. Our two masters are tasked with deterring and liquidating survivors using cameras scattered at different points on the tracks, using action cards waiting in our repertoire. We can summon zombies, set traps, knock down lights, etc., and each Mastermind has an advanced player who puts one of the already known biological weapons against the survivors.
The story disappears for an hour, I’m not saying it doesn’t provide challenges and excitement, but it only lasts for a few hours. Two things that ruin the not-so-imaginative game, imbalances and technical deficiencies are the most devastating.

Survivors are sentenced to death practically immediately at the first levels. No matter how skilled we are, how good our teamwork is, with a rookie character we have almost no chance against Mastermind. On the other side of 4v1, the situation is exactly the opposite. At first we feel like we’re making mistakes in vain, they can’t stop us either, but if we encounter players who have already reached some levels in their survivors, we suddenly find ourselves no matter how skilled the 4-person survivor who is always stronger.
It does not help at all that after 4-5 hours of play we have seen almost everything. We won’t find anything new in the game after that, which is, and it gets very repetitive and boring. What’s more annoying is that there are a lot of technical bugs, bugs and slow servers and lakes right now. Catastrophic pairing is just another angle in the game’s coffin, as survivor for a few minutes until you find a match, it still goes away, but the 1 hour wait often as Mastermind is extremely stressful, as is the whole game after the first hours.
