By Saturday morning, the number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Hungary had increased by 120, bringing the number of identified infected people to 1310, the government coronavirus information page said. The epidemic has 8 other deaths, bringing the death toll to 85. Three more infected people recovered from the virus, bringing the number of people cured to 115.
Government figures show that another 1,464 people have been placed in official domestic quarantine, bringing the number to 17,490. The number of samples increased to 31,961 in 2013, but it is not yet known how many people were sampled.
The operating strain once again drew attention to the fact that the number of actual virus carriers that could be infected was much higher than the identified infected coronavirus.
From the regional data, it can be seen that the infection rate is still the highest in Budapest, half of the people infected with confirmed coronaviruses live in the capital. The epidemic is also spreading faster here, as at the beginning of the week only 42-43 percent of those infected were in the capital. Along with Pest County, the Central Hungary region accounts for two thirds of confirmed coronavirus cases.
Among rural counties, the number of infected people is high in Fejér and Csongrád, in Fejér county there are almost 20 coronavirus infections per 100,000 inhabitants, while in Csongrád county this indicator is 11. This value is high, around 9, in Győr-Moson-Sopron and Nógrád counties. Based on the number of people infected per 100,000 population, the epidemic remains the least severe in Borsod and Heves, in both counties this value is less than 3.
National Medical Director Cecília Müller said in a briefing by the operating tribe on Friday: “If we deduct those who are sick in a nursing home, there is also an upward trend. So it is important that we do not continue to relax the rules, it is extremely important to comply with the restrictions. ”
The head of government announced Thursday that they will order the curfew to be maintained for an indefinite period and give mayors the right to decide on new austerity measures in their own settlements before Easter. As a result, many Hungarian cities and towns, especially in the area of major excursion destinations and in the capital’s agglomeration, have essentially closed for the four-day Easter weekend. Also part of the adjustment is that from now on, traffic will also close at 3 p.m.

Meanwhile, worldwide, the number of registered coronavirus infections has risen to more than 1.5 million, and the number of virus victims has exceeded 100,000.
