The first copies are expected to be available to buyers in early fall.

Toyota launched the first Yaris in 1999, followed by the second generation in 2005 and the third in 2011. The all-new fourth generation was introduced last October and can now be ordered in Hungary.

We can get our new Yaris for the cheapest for 4.8 million forint, because that’s the cost of the standard version with the 72-horsepower 1-liter VVT-i engine and the 5-speed manual transmission.

Equipped with a 1.5-liter, 121-horsepower engine and a 6-speed manual transmission, the base price of the Yaris Comfort is asking for HUF 5.24 million, and for the continuously variable CVT automatic transmission version, a minimum of HUF 5.59 million. The 1.5-liter, 116-horsepower Yaris hybrid starts at 6.29 million HUF.

The new Yaris, which is expected to arrive in Hungary in September, is half a centimeter shorter, 5 centimeters wider and 4 centimeters shorter than the track type, and the size of the footwell is greatly affected by the fact that the wheelbase has been increased by 5 centimeters. The instrument panel is dominated by a large central touchscreen with a 10-inch HUD projection on the windshield.

Based on a 1.5-liter inline three-cylinder gasoline engine, the self-loading hybrid model is 15 percent more powerful than its predecessor, while its fuel consumption is 20 percent more modest. The nickel-metal hydride battery was replaced by a lithium-ion unit, which reduced the car’s weight by approximately 20 kilograms, among other things.

Yaris received a sister model carved from a fashionable SUV last week, details of the launch of the novelty called Yaris Cross in the domestic market are still unknown.
