Fewer people in Budapest are satisfied with “how things are going in the country” than those who say that the capital’s affairs are going well, according to a poll conducted by the Publicus Institute for Népszava in late September. While 39 percent of those surveyed in the capital said they were completely or more satisfied with the first question, 42 percent said yes to the second. Forty-four percent of those surveyed said they weren’t entirely satisfied with the way things were going in the country. Young people in the capital are the most dissatisfied with the development of the country’s affairs.

  • Just 7 percent of Fidesz voters are unhappy with the way Orbán’s government is being run, while 75 percent of opponents don’t like the work of the cabinet.
  • 38 percent of the ruling parties residing in the capital are satisfied with the Gergely Christmas With the work of its mayor, led by the mayor, the proportion among Budapest’s opposition is 43 percent.
  • The defenders of Jobbik and the Democratic Coalition who join the opposition coalition in Budapest are almost as dissatisfied (55 and 60 percent, respectively) with the development of the situation in the capital as the Fidesz people (62 percent). The impulses in the capital are very satisfied (65 percent), but half of the MSZP say the same about themselves.
  • Only 18 percent of those surveyed support the design of full-width bike lanes, and a relative majority (45) are on the side of motorists. Fideszians (8%) and momentums (48%) are the least supportive of separating bike lanes.
