“Saturday Night Live” will go virtual on May 9 for the third time, and possibly the last time, when Season 45 draws to a close and the Studio 8H gang reunites again for a remotely produced episode. The April 25 issue of “SNL at Home” was a noticeable improvement over the variety show’s first twist on a departure from the quarantine era on April 11. NBC announced the news of a new episode early Saturday. Here is how to see it.

The May 9 episode will air on its regular cable hour on NBC beginning at 11:30 p.m. ET and 8:30 p.m. PT, which is broadcast live on both coasts. The 90-minute episode can also be viewed through the NBC app or the NBC website. Cable cutters at home can watch “SNL at Home” on NBC through services including Hulu Live TV, YouTube Live TV, Sling and fuboTV. And as usual, the episode will be available in its entirety on Hulu starting Sunday, generally at 12:00 p.m. ET.

Presented by Brad Pitt as Dr. Anthony Fauci, the April 25 episode featured better post-production values, with virtually orchestrated effects that allowed cast members to physically interact within a sketch, even in absentia. From the IndieWire review: “What a difference a couple of weeks have made! In particular, in terms of production quality and adjustment to the lack of a live audience. Sure, this second” SNL at home “loses some of the charm. Scruffy from the first, but it feels familiar, and anything can happen now … There was a major improvement in this edition of “SNL at Home,” to the point that this could be one of the best episodes of the entire season. With a better crew for the cast and more insight into what they can do, this was a more comprehensive episode of “SNL at Home” than the first, which bodes well for the future of these special episodes. “

It also didn’t hurt that during that episode, Miley Cyrus released a heartwarming version by Fire of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here”.

Along with the broadcast at 11:30 p.m. ET and 8:30 p.m. PT, the new episode of “Saturday Night Live” will also be released simultaneously at 10:30 p.m. CT and 9:30 p.m. MOUNTAIN.
