While Google claims that “it may take a while for the update to arrive”, I still have to wait more than a few minutes for beta updates of Android apps to hit Google Play. Here’s how to install it, by the way: pick up the Google Play Store, tap the hamburger icon, tap “My Apps & Games” and install the Phone app. If that does not work, you can try again Phone apps page on Google Play and see if there is a download button you need to use.

Once you’ve done that, you’ve got a brand new Phone app to play with. I do not have an Android that is not a Pixel, but my guess is that you will be asked if you want the Phone app to make it your default app when you launch it. If not, and you find it fun the first time you use it, you can set it as the default the divorce app by trying you Android Settings> Apps & Notifications> Advanced> Default Apps. (This path may differ depending on the Android you are using, but this is generally how you can configure your device’s default apps.)
