How to get the Fortnite Galaxy Scout outfit and weapon for free

Fortnite v13.30 released today, July 21. Most fans were expecting to see new cars enter the game, but they haven’t been released as of writing yet. Instead, we’ve seen updates at gas stations and gasoline mechanics along with some leaks that point to upcoming changes.

One of those leaks involves a crashed spaceship on the outskirts of Battle Royale Island. This spacecraft was piloted by a character known as the “Ancient Astronaut”, who will undoubtedly become a skin at some point. The POI is currently underwater, but data miner FortTory dried it to give us an idea of what the new location will look like.

This new location doesn’t appear to be a hub of player activity, at least in its current state. There don’t seem to be many chests spawned around this location. Instead, it looks more like a story / challenge POI that will enter the game when the water levels drop.

As expected, the spacecraft has some associated challenges. The pilot, Ancient Astronaut, left some things for us to explore. We will have to find the ship, pick up a missing part, install the missing part, and start or stop launching the ship.

The conflicting targets point to a possible LTM involving this ship; unless players begin to notice a destabilization after starting the launch sequence. We will have to wait and see exactly what all this means.

Our first thought upon seeing this ship brings us back to The Visitor. The ship might be different, but the objective of the ancient alien could have been the same. This astronaut could even be one of the seven, trying to break the circle from inside the Apollo universe (coincidence that the new map is called Apollo?)

Either way, we hope this ship has some important implications from the Fortnite tradition. It seems too intentional to launch it into the world without linking it to the overall story. We will keep you informed when this POI is revealed and challenges are triggered. Until then, we can only speculate.
