The cast and crew of 30 rocks they have lifted the cover of the NBC comedy reunion special.
30 Rock: a one-time special, which airs tonight on NBC and on several other NBCUniversal networks, was shot under quarantine guidelines, both outside of health and safety protocols and in the actors’ homes.
Creator and star Tina Fey, Robert Carlock and director Oz Rodríguez spoke about the meeting as part of NBC’s “Summit of Creativity”, which took place in place of the company’s traditional fronts. They were joined by the stars of the show.
“When NBC asked if we could write a reunion episode, to pinch the success of the upfronts this year so they could happen, it made sense to us because the world of 30 rocks he always mixed business and comedy, “Fey said.” I would say we have a level of understanding of marketing and advertising that matches the level of medical knowledge that people have in medical programs. “

He added that “everything came together very quickly” and “everyone was very willing to participate.”
Tracy Morgan said: “We spent seven years together, so seeing the whole set again was amazing.”
The episode brings back Fey, Morgan, Alec Baldwin, and Jane Krakowski, as well as Jack McBrayer, Scott Adsit, Judah Friedlander, Keith Powell, Sue Galloway, and John Lutz. It also features a host of guest stars from NBC’s current lineup (apparently we’re not allowed to tell you who they are, but if you think about the biggest shows and upcoming NBC titles, you can guess).
It follows the end of the original show, which saw McBrayer’s character Kenneth the Page, now in charge of NBC. He now lives in Los Angeles and is in charge of restarting TGS, so Liz Lemon de Fey is tasked with rejoining the band.
Rodríguez said that in the current circumstances, everything was a little more difficult to film. “Zoom is a big part of everyone’s life right now, so it had to be part of this story, but we wanted to give an air of reality and get a broad view and see Tracy’s shark tank. It was really exciting to get some scenes out there, ”he said.
“There was a great learning curve in terms of how we were going to do a quarantine episode. We all had to film everything according to the regulations, “said Krakowski.
Fey filmed some scenes outside with a very small crew, and each cast member and crew were evaluated for COVID-19. “It was very special and very moving to be able to do what we used to do and be sure to do it. I look forward to these little steps so that other people can get back to work soon, ”he said.
