State officials said Tuesday that licenses for Lux Lounge, The Standard, Spire and Soul Billars have been suspended for 30 days as part of a week-long effort to enforce the state’s COVID-19 health and safety protocol.

One bar in Fort Worth and another in Dallas were on the association’s list where the licenses were suspended.

“These violations represent a very small number of the more than 20,000 licensed businesses that have been investigated by TABC since the beginning of May,” said Kevin J., chairman of TABC. More than 1,300 businesses were inspected during the operation, officials said.

Officials said they are closely monitoring the activity of bars and restaurants to ensure protocols are followed. These include: 50% for bars and 75% for restaurants and limiting social distance of at least 6 feet between groups of customers.
