The list of games coming to Xbox Game Pass in August and September continues to grow: developers Lucky Mountain Games and Sumo Nottingham have confirmed that Hotshot Racing will launch on September 10 in just a few weeks, and that it will participate as of day to Xbox Game Pass and add-on.
The Hotshot Racing team describes their game as a “drift-centric retro throwback.” Creative Director Trevor Ley says “this game has been on a massive journey for the past ten years … We can not wait to see all the leaderboards in the game light up with the fastest times of players and multiplayer servers full to the brim Lucky Mountain Games seems to have some plans up its sleeve for content after post-launch, and Ley adds that it “will be great to see what the world thinks of the game post-September 10th.”

Hotshot Racing has 16 circuits, ranging from the coast to the jungle and the desert. There are racing modes, like Time Trial and Grand Prix, like the intriguing one called Drive or Explode, which activates a bomb if you don’t drive fast enough. Another skill test is the Cops and Robbers mode, where each robber is caught by a police officer, until there are only a few robbers left. Time Trial is single-player only, but every other mode offers single-player, split-screen for four players, and eight-player online.
