Yan exclusively told Fox News Digital last week that he believes the Chinese government knew a lot about the new coronavirus before publicly acknowledging the outbreak. He also claimed that his supervisors, recognized as some of the best experts in the field, ignored the research he was doing at the start of the pandemic that he believes could have saved lives.
