Hong Kong Disneyland will close its doors again after an increase in new cases of coronavirus in Hong Kong.

The park had reopened less than a month ago after closing in January during the first wave of Covid-19 cases in the region. Guests and staff were required to wear face masks, social distance, and undergo temperature tests upon entering the park.

The Hong Kong government decided to limit the group meeting to four people out of 50, a move last seen in March. Twelve different types of businesses, including gyms and game centers, are forced to close for a week, and restaurants will only be able to deliver takeout after 6:00 pm

“As required by the government and health authorities in line with prevention efforts being carried out in Hong Kong, Hong Kong’s Disneyland Park will temporarily close from July 15,” Disney said in a statement. Monday. “The hotels of the Disneyland Disneyland Resort will remain open with adjusted levels of services. They have implemented improved health and safety measures that reflect the guidance of health and government authorities, such as measures of social distancing and greater cleaning and disinfection.”

The news of the park’s closure comes when Disney’s Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom reopened in Orlando, Florida on Saturday. Epcot and Hollywood Studios are slated to reopen on Wednesday. All Walt Disney World parks had been closed since mid-March.

Disney is one of the last theme parks to reopen in Florida. Universal Studios and SeaWorld previously reopened in early June.
