Selena Gomez delivered a delicious sneak preview of her anticipated BlackPink collaboration “Ice Cream” on Thursday morning (August 27) via a 15-second teaser.
“Special delivery!” she tweeted, along with the short video clip in which the members of the K-pop group poke their heads out of the holes in an ice painting as Selena walks through in a Good Humor truck, dressed for summer in a pink and white striped bikini and sailor hat.
On Wednesday (August 26), YG Entertainment unveiled another “Ice Cream” teaser poster featuring Gomez, which also features a midriff-wearing candy striped outfit paired with the hat and white gloves. The poster also reminds fans of the single’s scheduled release date, which is scheduled to drop Friday (August 28) to midnight EST / 1:00 pm KST.
Previous examples of the superstar collab were recordings of Jisoo, Rosé, Jennie and Lisa, with each member having a similar vintage 70s inspired look, filled with lots of bright colors, floral power and macrame. Gomez also called the opportunity to work with Blackpink “a big, big dream for me” during a love-filled FaceTime call earlier this week with the four.
“Ice Cream” will be the second pre-release single from Blackpink’s long-awaited debut album, Blackpink: the album, released on October 2 via YG Entertainment.
