Katy Perry revealed to The guard in a new interview Friday (Aug. 14) that she and fiancé Orlando Bloom all named their feisty first child: “Kicky Perry.”
It comes as no surprise after Perry revealed that her unborn daughter had already learned how to rebel as a rockstar when a sonogram showed what the window looked like when the baby threw up a middle finger.
In her latest interview, Perry discussed how she cut it too close with the due date for the baby and the due date for her upcoming fifth studio album Laugh. But delay in production pushed the last date back from August 14 to August 28.
She said she prioritizes her entry into motherhood over the traditional process of album release, which the average journalist would not accept at this point, as she has done nearly 100 interviews on Laugh. Her original plan, pre-COVID, was to deal with the release of the album, having the baby and skipping the tour. But now every pop star is reluctant to take her last step because of the ongoing pandemic.
“But yeah, I probably would not have had as much FOMO as I would have if the world had not shifted,” she said. The guard. “There’s definitely a foundation of, ‘Here’s the music, enjoy, love you, I’m out!'”
Bloom also recently shared how much he anticipated in the wake of his baby girl’s arrival Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon interview this week. “I’m so excited to have a little daddy’s girl,” he said during the segment. “I hope she will love me as much as I love her.”
