Here’s all that Destination 2 left in November 2020 When Beyond Light is released

Bungie has revealed what content Destiny 2 will be releasing

with the launch of Beyond Light on November 10, 2020, and how the game will change as Io, Titan, Mars, Mercury, and Leviathan introduce the Destiny Content Vault (DCV). Bungie took it blog to explain how the Destiny Content Vault will work, why it is needed, and how this removed content will make way for the return of the Cosmodrome and the debut of Europe.

It seeks to alleviate some of the confusion by stating that “when a destination enters the DCV, so do its PvE activities and associated rewards.” However, Bungie wanted to take a “crystal clear” approach and detail exactly what will be on November 10th. Let’s get through it.

Fence

Strikes from the vaulted planets will also enter the DCV, and they are as follows;

  • The Pyramidion (Io)
  • The Festering Core (Io)
  • Savathûn’s Song (Titan)
  • Strange Terrain (Mars)
  • Joy of the Thousands (Mars)
  • Tree of Probabilities (Mercury)
  • A Garden World (Mercury)

Gambit and Gambit Prime

Gambit and Gambit Prime will merge into a unique experience with the launch of Beyond Light, and will “be a single round face with custom Blockers, heavier fashion drains and some changes to the Primeval battle.”

The Gambit 4 playlist card selection is a “best of” list and will include Emerald Coast (EDZ), Legions Folly (Nessus), Deep Six (Titan) and New Arcadia (Mars). There will be two maps moving in the DCV, and they are Cathedral of Scars (Dreaming City) and Kell’s Grave (Tangled Shore).

Cross

Like Gambit, the Crucible will also have a composite “best of” mix and include cards from both Destiny 1 and 2. The following cards will not make it to Year 4 and will be transferred to the DCV;

  • Meltdown
  • Loneliness
  • Retribution
  • The Citadel
  • Emperor’s relaxation
  • Equinox
  • Eternity
  • Firebase Echo
  • Gambler’s ruin
  • Legion’s Gulch
  • Vostok

There will also be modes in the Crucible that will find their way to the DCV, and they are as follows;

  • Supremasy
  • Countdown
  • Lockdown
  • Breakthrough
  • Doubles
  • Momentum control
  • Burned

Momentum Control and Scorched will return from the DCV “at some point in year 4.”

Trials of Osiris

The Trials of Osiris experience will not be affected by moving any of this content to DCV this year. The Lighthouse “will continue to be available to those who can complete a Flawless Passage.”

Raids and Dungeons

There will be no dungeons running in the DCV this November, because “all dungeon hosting destinations will remain active in Year 4.”

Raids, however, will not be so lucky. The next raids will be vaulted in November, due to the fact that their destinations will also be so;

  • Leviathan
  • Eater of Worlds (Leviathan)
  • Spire of Stars (Leviathan)
  • Scourge of the Past (Last city)
  • Crown of Sorrows (Leviathan)

This year’s Moments of Triumph includes these five raids that will be removed, and their reward locations have been removed to “create extra grind … well, rewarding.”

Furthermore, Bungie plans to bring the Vault of Glass raid out of the DCV and bring it to Destiny 2 at some point in Year 4.

Destiny 2: Season of Arrival

Exotic Quests and Catalysts

When destinations are sent to DCV, some exotic quests will not be able to complete in their original forms. Those specific quests will retire on November 10 and unfinished progress will be abandoned. If you want to take over these exotics through their original quests, do so “before the end of the season of arrival;

  • Sturm
  • MIDA Multi-sheet
  • Rat King
  • Legend of Acrius
  • Sleeper Simulant
  • Polaris Lance
  • World line zero
  • Skoppenaas
  • The Last Word
  • Le Monarque
  • Jotunn
  • Burden of Izanagi
  • torn
  • Lumina
  • Truth
  • Bad Juju

It’s important to note that not one of these legacy Exotics is retired from Destiny 2, it’s just that their original purchase prices will be vaulted.

Beginning in year 4, any exotic bond will be met by a detected demand “now available through a new Memorial kiosk located below the Vault kiosks in the Tower.

As for the Catalysts, there will be a number that will enter the DCV and not be available to start in season 12;

  • Bad Juju
  • The Huckleberry
  • Burden of Izanagi
  • Legend of Acrius
  • Polaris Lance
  • Skyburner’s Oath
  • Sleeper Simulant *
  • Telesto *
  • Outbreak perfect
  • Whisper of the Worm *
  • Worldline Zero *

Once you have these catalysts and their objectives are met, you will be able to continue using them. If you have any of the above with an asterisk, “make sure you complete the required objective to customize it, as the objective is no longer available at the end of Season of Arrival.”

All of these catalysts will find their way out of the DCV in a future season.

New Guardian Experience

These changes will affect those looking for Destiny 2 as a free-for-all player, as the Red War, Flight of Osiris and Warmind campaigns are no longer playable.

Bungie is building a “new, expanded Guardian origin story on the Cosmodrome that will launch next to Year 4 and will be available for all Guardians to play.”

The suspect and Shadowkeep story campaigns will still be available to owners of those extensions.

The Whisper, Zero Hour, and Year 2 Seasonal Content

The secret missions of Whisper and Zero Hour will be sent to the DCV, and their exotic weapon rewards will “not be available until we find a new way to reintroduce them”

In addition, Season 2 content – including Forges, Reckoning and Menagerie – will be released on November 10th. The full list is as follows;

  • Ada-1, Black Armory, and seasons of the Forge quests.
  • Gambit Prime, Reckoning, and Season of the Drifter quests.
  • Benedict-66, Werner 99-40, Menagerie, and Season of Opulence quests.
  • Pinnacle and pursuit weapon quests. (Note: These weapons will receive an alternative purchase method. More details to come later this season.)

There’s obviously a lot here, and Bungie promises to share more updates in the future. For more, be sure to check out your DPS article that shares more details about the DCV.
