Its dark materials Star Ruth Wilson has revealed that her character, Mrs. Coulter, will undergo some major changes in Season 2.
During the Comic-Con At Home panel of the fantasy drama, which premiered on July 23, the actor teamed up with co-stars Ariyon Bakare, Amir Wilson, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and newcomer Andrew Scott to discuss what the fans of the show in the future.
“You never know who he really is, or it’s hard to figure out who he really is,” said Wilson of Mrs. Coulter, who fans of the source material will know is not a single-note villain. “She constantly challenges me and confuses me. Her intentions always mix at any moment.”

“What she was very happy to play this season was to enter her circumstances more … What she had to face as a woman in a very masculine world, and the sacrifices she had to make and at what cost, which is the cost of losing really your daughter, or choose something about your daughter.
“It delves into that in the book, but we were allowed to go even further. She does such horrible things, you have to balance that with the reasons. We know that in season 3, we see her as a completely different person, so you need find the trip. “
Wilson concluded by saying that Ms. Coulter spends much of the second season “alone”, so most episodes focus on exploring her relationship with herself as well as with her often vicious monkey Ozymandias.

Its dark materials airs on BBC One in the UK and on HBO in the United States.
