Hawks Introduces 3 New T-Shirts With A Cleaner, Vintage Look

The Atlanta Hawks will have new vintage-looking threads for the 2020-21 season that combine their origins and their plans for the future.

The franchise unveiled the three new sets on Tuesday morning consisting of their partnership, icon, and statement through Nike.

Of the team:

“As we enter the next era of Hawks basketball, we are going back to our roots. We are respecting our precious past, with our sights focused on a bright future ahead. We are revamping our looks as we pay tribute to the Hawks’ most synonymous colors.

“Take the most beloved details from our past uniforms to create an appearance that combines past, present and future. Our new style is timeless and classic, reintroducing elements that true Hawks fans have come to know and love as we enter a new golden age in search of a championship. “

The first is the Association’s jersey, a “crisp and clean” look with the Atlanta logo icon and the new secondary logo on the side of the shorts.

Icon T-shirts are mostly the same, only in the “torch red” color that has characterized the Hawks since 1968. “This primary color symbolizes the heart of our never-ending quest for excellence, our red-hot spirit and our burning passion for the game, “According to the release.

And the Declaration shirts are all black with the thick yellow line inherited on the sides instead of red or white. “He screams bold” and is “bold without apology,” the team said, with the new secondary “ATL” logo at the front of the waist.

The Michael Jordan Jumpman brand logo is on the Statement shirts instead of the Nike Swoosh on the shoulder. All NBA Statement edition jerseys, meant for big games and rivalries, will be branded.

All three Hawks jerseys will feature the Sharecare patch on the left side of the chest. The team has partnered with Sharecare, an Atlanta-based health and wellness platform, since 2017. The partnership is a “joint initiative to make Georgia one of the healthiest states and Atlanta one of the healthiest cities in the country.” .

Jason Collins and Trae Young are the first fans of the new threads.

The team previously wore uniforms with a triangular pattern as the main fabric. The new look is generally cleaner and more in-line with its G-League affiliate and NBA 2K team, a key part of the brand for the organization.
