Hawaii Department of Health officials today reported 47 new coronavirus infections, a total of 27,270 cases in the state since the onset of the epidemic.
State health officials reported no additional deaths today as the statewide coronavirus-related death toll is 431.
The state’s official coronavirus-related death toll includes 344 on ah hu, 53 on the island of Hawaii, 30 on Maui, one on Kauai, and three Hawaii deaths outside the state.

The new cases of this statewide infection reported by the health department include 27 in Oahu, 17 in Maui and three residents diagnosed outside of Hawaii, officials said.

The total number of coronavirus cases by island after the outbreak is 21,829 in Oahu, 2,234 in Hawaii County, 2,071 in Maui, 181 in Kauai, 108 in Lanai and 27 in Molokai. There are also 820 Hawaiian residents who were diagnosed outside the state.
Health officials also said today that 693 cases out of the total infection count of the state have been considered active. Officials say they consider the infection reported in the last 14 days to be a “proxy number for an active case.” The number of active cases in the state has increased by 10 today.
According to the island, ah hu has 457 active cases, Maui has 200, Big Island has 33, Molokai has two, and Kaina has two, according to the latest state statistics. There is no active case in Lanai.

Health officials today counted the results of 4,784 new COVID-11 examinations for the statewide positivity rate. The state’s 7-day average positivity rate is 1.1%, according to the Hawaii COVID-19 data dashboard.
Of all the confirmed cases of airborne infections, 1,840 need to be hospitalized, with six new hospital admissions reported on Ohu today by state health officials.

Of the administered vaccines, 284,709 were given to the general public and 21,566 were distributed through the Federal Pharmacy Program, officials said. State officials release updated vaccination numbers every Wednesday.
