Hands-on PS5 footage shows Devil May Cry, Godfall and more

The PS5 hasn’t been released for more than a month, but Japanese YouTube maker Pokકી Sweets was a lucky player who already got a hand, and showed off a new gameplay in the video. Not only do we see an extended look at some of the system’s launch games, but we also get to see how huge the console really is.

Putting the vert way in the video, the YouTube gaming team placed the console at the top of the table so that it would be easier to watch, but we’re also not sure if it would fit in the entertainment center that holds the television. You may need to move around a few things to get your system fit into your setup. While the Xbox Series X is also a larger machine, it’s not as tall as the PS5 and is perfectly flat on its sides. It should make it a little easier to fit into an existing setup.

The first game on display in the video is Astro’s Playroom, pre-installed on each PS5. The 3D platform is designed to showcase the special features of the controller, and its structure resembles that of Super Mario 64. The version we will get will not be a simple demo: it is actually a complete game that will take many hours to complete. Fields is themed just like the PS5, which includes a section with a huge fan. We’re hearing (or not hearing) that the PS5 is also surprisingly quiet.

Pok પો Sweets also got to try out Godfall, the second launch game, the first game to be explicitly announced for the PS5. The “looter-slasher” on the console looks very impressive, with the effects of particles descending on each sword strike. Instead of just charging in a fight, you can also win your shield like Captain America to draw enemies into advantageous positions.

Another YouTuber, Sunnisho, tried to use Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition. We didn’t see any Virgil gameplay in this footage, but it did show how easy the action would be on a more powerful system. On the PS5, the dual sense controller will also give you resistance by triggers when Nero brings his Red Queen sword to life.

The controller can make a little adjustment for Japanese players if the construction model is accurate. The X and circle buttons have been rotated to match the worldwide version.

The PlayStation 5 will be released on November 12, two days after the Xbox Box X Series X and Xbox Series S, all the games mentioned here will be available at launch, Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition will also be released on the XB Series X Series X / S.
