Fans of Grand Theft Auto have lost their collective minds over a Vice City Online domain name that developer Rockstar updated earlier this year. The site – GTAViceCityOnline.com – was registered by the company back in 2009, a year after the release of Grand Theft Auto IV. However, the address was updated in March of this year, speculation fueled.
In fact, some imaginative aficionados believe that the studio is posting a Trick of Resident Evil Village, with the title titled Grand Theft Auto VIce City Online – effectively making it GTA 6. Of course, this is all pretty unlikely, since the organization has already announced Grand Theft Auto 5 – and, thereafter, the lucrative GTA Online – for the PlayStation 5.
More likely, the domain is just a copy of Rockstar that retains rights to its intellectual property so it does not have to deal with pesky stickers in the distant future. What about the domain renewal? Well, it probably just needed updating, just like any domain name. All that said, we would love to return to the world of Vice City again in the future, as it was one of the best games on PS2.
