Most of our readers are probably familiar with Google’s Opinion Rewards app, which gives you Play Store credit (or real cash, if you’re on iOS) for answering surveys. They are usually based on things like your recent location history or use of the Google service, which can annoy those with a strong interest in privacy. Still, it’s been proven popular: The app has just hit 50 million installs on the Play Store.
That doesn’t mean it was a smooth ride. Late last year, a ton of credits expired at once as a result of a policy change, in some cases erasing tens of dollars of credit from the Play Store. Now Google will tell you when your credits will expire, although that change is a bit late.
There are many surveys, and many rewards.
Many of us have made a few dollars (if not tens or hundreds) through the Opinion Rewards app, though Stephen Schenck of Android Police is still alive. zero for both surveys and credits. While anyone who has used the app may tell you that the polls themselves may be inconsistent, it’s still a cheap and easy way to trade in a little privacy and time for a weekend movie rental or free game.
