GIRLS SCOUTS FROM US RELEASE RANKING OF COOKING COOKIES

Toast-Yay! cookies are modeled after the breakfast favorite, with frosting-dipped cookies shaped like mini French toasts, the GSUSA announced Tuesday. The new cookies will only be available in “selected areas”, but customers are encouraged to contact their local councils for availability information.

“Amidst challenging world events and a global pandemic this year, Girl Scouts created moments of joy by donating cookies to thank frontline workers and using the cookie proceeds to support their communities,” read a press release that the Toast- Yay announced! cookies. “When Girl Scout Cookie season returns, Toast-Yay! Will give consumers a new way to celebrate these moments alongside other favorites, such as Thin Mints and Samoas / Caramel deLites.”

CORONAVIRUS MISSES GIRLS SCOUT WITH SURPLUS OF UNSOLD COOKIES: REPORT

The Girl Scouts had to sell their favorite company for cookies, like many others, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, and relied more on digital sales instead of their traditional cookie stands earlier this year.

That’s why Girl Scouts called out Girl Scout Cookie Care, an online vertical that allows customers to place orders for home delivery and donate cookies to frontline workers and first responders. The platform, says GSUSA, will remain essential for cookie sales and distribution in 2021.

“When the COVID-19 pandemic spread widely in the 2020 cooking season, many female entrepreneurs quickly shifted their focus to virtual sales because they faced the same challenges as other companies,” GSUSA said in a statement to Fox News.

Girl Scout boards sell the cookies annually between six and eight weeks, and most sales are between January and April. The cookie sales benefit from programming for 1.7 million girls, according to GSUSA.
