Ghost of tsushima, the open-world action game set in medieval Japan, is on the way. Initially slated for a June 26 release, the PS4 exclusive’s release date was pushed back to make room for Sony’s other big summer release, The last of us part 2. Ghost of tsushima it will now launch on July 17.
Originally announced in 2017, with an official launch trailer to be released at E3 2018, Ghost of tsushima It follows a samurai named Jin Sakai who “must sacrifice everything to defeat the ruthless Mongol invaders and protect what remains of his home and people,” according to the game’s official description. The game is heavily inspired by classic Japanese movies, and developer Sucker Punch Productions even included a “Samurai Cinema” mode that turns grainy images into black and white.
Ghost of Tsushima will be available on PlayStation 4 when it launches on July 17. Sucker Punch offers several pre-order bonuses and special editions, which are detailed below.
