Ghost of Tsushima is not a short game, but it has been out for an entire week and some players have already finished it. And unsurprisingly for a quality launch, many fans want more. Sadly, Sucker Punch’s open world epic doesn’t come equipped with a New Game + mode, a way to restart the story with all your gear and abilities intact. You can continue playing after the credits have rolled, but you will reach a point where you have visited all the markers on the map and completed each side quest. Beyond that, there’s not much else to see, especially if you have maximized Jin’s Legend rank and unlocked all of his abilities.
You can always start a new save and get back on the adventure, but it’s a shame there is no way to go directly back to the excellent title story missions with all you’ve learned. And with that in mind, fans have turned to Reddit and Twitter to let Sucker Punch know that New Game + would be greatly appreciated.
There has been no word from the developer regarding specific post-launch support for Ghost of Tsushima, but it’s obviously early. For the sake of context, God of War’s New Game + mode was added in an update that came four months after its release. The bottom line is, we’ll just have to wait and see what Sucker Punch has up its sleeve.
