Ghost of Tsushima Day-One update file size increased to almost 8GB

Ghost of Tsushima will receive another small update at launch, in addition to the previously announced day one patch.

The latest PS4 exclusive triple A title from early Sony developers is coming in over a week, and Sucker Punch is doing its best to deliver it as polished as possible. According to the latest report from reviewers who are playing the game, Ghost of Tsushima recently received another update that increases the patch file size from day one to almost 8GB.

As the source reveals, the file size of the new update is 500 MB of barley, which means that players who are going to play the game at launch will have to download an additional 7.9 GB. If you plan to buy the digital version of Ghost of Tsushima, you better prepare at least 50GB of free space on your console.

Ghost of Tsushima was originally revealed during the Paris Game Week event in 2017 as the next Sucker Punch project after Infamous: Second Son. After less than three years, the game turned gold a few weeks ago, and Sony sent the review codes to different outlets around the world to make sure they can deliver review scores on July 14.

Following the story of the Japanese occupation by the Mongols, in Ghost of Tsushima, you will play as Jin, a well-trained Samurai who has been taught to fight with honor. But when he realizes that he cannot defeat the enemy with the traditional way of fighting, he prefers to be the Phantom of Tsushima, hunting the Mongols one after another and reclaiming his homeland from the invaders.

In the case of gameplay, Ghost of Tsushima allows you to switch between Samurai and Ghost combat styles whenever you want. If you prefer to be a Samurai, you will wear heavy armor that will decrease your movement speed but will offer you impressive 1-on-1 battles. On the other hand, fighting as a Ghost grants you many different weapons to defeat enemies without close confrontations.

Ghost of Tsushima will be available on July 17 exclusively for PS4.
