Zinedine Zidane has revealed that Eden Hazard will have some playing time during Real Madrid’s game in Elche on Wednesday night.
Hazard was on the bench against Granada last time, but has not played since leaving in the 28th minute of Los Blancos’ 2-1 loss at home to Alavés on November 28.
“Tomorrow he will be there and the plan is for him to play a bit,” Zidane confirmed during the press conference prior to Tuesday’s game.
“The other day we decided something different. He has been with the team for several days and we are looking to make the most of that.”
Another issue that kept coming up during the press conference was the lack of minutes granted to Marcelo and Isco, who have been working hard recently to try to increase their fitness.
“I count on all my players,” Zidane said.
“I don’t get involved in things about players who supposedly want to leave. All the players are training well. That’s good news for a coach.
“They are very professional and I think they are training well. I am happy to see all the players focused.
“Everyone will have opportunities to play. All these players want to play. It is difficult to leave the players out, but this is part of the coach’s job and it is the bad part.”
