Okyenhene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin says he would be shocked to the bone if Ghanaians go to the polls and vote against President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

He said that any eligible voter who has benefited from the numerous social intervention programs and other infrastructure development under the Akufo-Addo government must honor the president with a second term.

Addressing a durbar of chiefs and individuals from the three states of Akyem, Abuakwa, Bosome and Kotoku, Okyenhene said the president has distinguished himself and deserves a second term.

He recited the lyrics to Sarkodie’s ‘Ofeetso’ music to make his point.

“Dem they say don’t get in shape, but you’re in shock,” Osagyefo said in Ga.

According to Osagyefo Amoatia, Akufo-Addo’s great achievements during his first term will ensure his victory in the next elections.

“Their factory One District One, One Village One Dam, free SHS, Plantation for food and jobs, the NABCO initiative, their many infrastructure projects such as roads have paid off; and as Jesus said, a tree that bears good fruit must be made to grow, “said Osagyefo.

“Like singer Lucky Mensah said in her songs, Nana Akufo-Addo has exceeded all expectations as president and must be given the go-ahead to continue for a second term,” he added.

Okyenhene noted that the people of Akyem have also seen the development under Akufo-Addo, as echoed by Asantehene this week.

Namely, Okyeman will also honor Akufo-Addo on December 7.

Okyehene is the second high-profile traditional ruler to have made statements supporting the second-term candidacy of President Akufo-Addo in the upcoming December 7 election.

Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, assured the president on Monday that his record in office “will speak for him” in this year’s elections.

“Your good works in office will speak for you. We at Asanteman remember. Asanteman will remember his good deeds on Election Day, “Asantehene said.

Kyebi came to a standstill on Friday when the three Akyem states of Abuakwa, Bosome and Kotoku held a durbar to honor President Akufu Addo and welcome him home.

President Akufo-Addo, for his part, hinted that his commitment and loyalty to Ghana were inherited from his grandfather and father, who were interested in fighting Ghana’s advance.

He hinted at his determination to be honest with Ghanaians and follow the course of development.

Akufo-Addo pleaded with the Ghanaians to give him four more years to do more.
